STANFORD, Calif. – Alana Cook, Jordan DiBiasi, Alison Jahansouz and Tegan McGrady were each named first-team Scholar All-West Region by United Soccer Coaches, as announced Monday.
Stanford is the only program with multiple first-team honorees and the only Pac-12 school with a student-athlete on the first team. It is the second consecutive United Coaches Scholar All-Region nod for Cook, DiBiasi and McGrady who, along with Jahansouz, led Stanford to its fourth consecutive Pac-12 championship in 2018.
Cook finishes her Stanford career having started all 93 games since her freshman season in 2015. A MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and Senior CLASS Award finalist, Cook was named Pac-12 Defender of the Year, first-team All-America, and CoSIDA Academic All-America third team after captaining Stanford for her junior and senior seasons.
DiBiasi was recently named a MAC Hermann Trophy finalist after appearing in 92 of 93 games during her four-year career. A member of the United Coaches All-America first team, DiBiasi earned Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year, All-Pacific Region first team and CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 first team honors while serving as team captain during the 2018 season.
McGrady earned third-team All-America honors after a distinguished four-year career on The Farm, which culminated in a strong senior season. McGrady was named All-Pac-12 first team and United Coaches All-Pacific Region first team, having been named to the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list in August after making her full United States National Team debut on April 8 against Mexico.
Jahansouz was named All-Pac-12 second team and United Coaches All-Pacific Region second team after finishing with a 0.50 goals-against average, 0.844 save percentage and 11 shutouts in 20 starts. Jahansouz's 23 career shutouts rank seventh in program history, while her career 0.50 goals-against average ranks sixth in Pac-12 conference history.
