Five to The Farm

STANFORD, Calif. – Two-time national champion Stanford improved its roster with five future Cardinal signing National Letters of Intent to join the program in the fall of 2019.

"We are excited to welcome another excellent class to the program," said the Knowles Family Director of Women's Soccer Paul Ratcliffe. "Each of them are committed to becoming student-athletes of the highest caliber, and I am confident they will heavily contribute to our immediate and long-term success."

Stanford's Class of 2023 includes Madison Ayson, Emily Chiao, Maya Doms, Paige Rubinstein and Kennedy Wesley. The group joins a squad which recently captured its fourth consecutive Pac-12 conference championship and competed in its eight College Cup in 11 seasons.

Madison Ayson

  • Native of Rocklin, Calif. and has competed for San Juan Soccer Club (2015-17) and Davis Legacy Soccer Club (2017-19)
  • Three-time All-League defender with Rocklin High School
  • 2018 ECNL U-17 National Championship finalist
  • Daughter of Alison and Hermilito Ayson, and has two brothers, Logan and Justin
  • Anticipates majoring in bioengineering
  • Hobbies include baking and cooking

Emily Chiao

  • Native of Phoenix, Ariz. and has played for Phoenix Rising Youth F.C. (2008-19)
  • First-team All-League selection in 2016
  • Two-time USYS National League Division Champion (2017-18)
  • Daughter of Christine and Shupei Chiao, and has two brothers, Cameron and Jackson
  • Anticipates majoring in computer science and symbolic systems
  • Hobbies include golfing, piano and watching soccer

Maya Doms

  • Native of Davis, California and has competed for Davis Legacy Soccer Club (2015-19)
  • Two-time high school Team MVP and All-American
  • Has represented the United States at the U-15 and U-17 levels, currently a member of the U-17 national team
  • Daughter of Clarzia and Rocky Doms, and has a twin brother, Aidan
  • Anticipates majoring in human biology
  • Hobbies include golfing and coaching soccer

Paige Rubinstein

  • Native of Davis, California and has competed for Davis Legacy Soccer Club (2015-19)
  • Also competed in track and field in high school, placing in the 4x100 meter relay at the California State Championships
  • Three-time Surf Cup champion and ECNL national finalist
  • Jewish Olympic gold medalist at the 2017 Maccabi Games
  • Daughter of Stephanie and Brian Rubinstein, and has two sisters, Brooke and Makenna

Kennedy Wesley

  • Native of Rossmoor, California and has competed for SoCal Blues (2012-18) and LAFC Slammers (2018-19)
  • Two-time high school first-team All-League and 2017 Gatorade National and State Player of the Year
  • Member of the United States U-17 national team (2016-18)
  • Daughter of Kristen and Kevin Wesley, and has a brother, Karsen
  • Anticipates majoring in psychology
  • Hobbies include shopping and spending time with friends
