STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford's Lacie Hull was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for her performances in the Cardinal's road sweep of then-No. 9 Tennessee and Buffalo. The honor is the first of Hull's career and Stanford's seventh all-time freshman of the week selection.
Hull was brilliant in Stanford's 95-85 road win at Tennessee on Tuesday, scoring a career-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including going 4-of-5 from deep. The Cardinal's offensive output is a program record on the road against a top-10 team and was just two points off the opponent record for scoring in Thompson-Boling Arena. Stanford was 14-of-24 on 3-pointers (.583), a visitor record for makes on the Lady Vols' home court.
Hull followed that up with a career-high five rebounds in the Cardinal's 62-55 victory at Buffalo on Friday.
Stanford, up to No. 6 in the AP poll and No. 4 in the NCAA RPI, is off to its best 10-game start in five seasons (9-1).
The Cardinal wraps up the nonconference portion of its schedule when it hosts CSUN on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m.
