STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford's Grant Breckenridge has been named the first MPSF Gymnast of the Week this year after winning the all-around title at the Cal Benefit Cup hosted by California last Saturday.
The honor is the first of Breckenridge's career after a weekend that saw him post an 80.750 in the all-around to finish second nationally. The native of Libertyville, Ill. also took first on the parallel bars, turning in a score of 14.650, to help Stanford post the nation's best team score of 411.250.
What a way to close out the event! @G_Breckenridge nails down a 14.650 before Blake Sun posts a 14.350. #GoStanford
