STANFORD, Calif. – Conor Casey won the 3-meter springboard to highlight a strong showing from Stanford in the UCLA Diving Invitational this past weekend.
"I was thrilled with how we fared this week," said diving coach Patrick Jeffrey. "Everyone performed well and I am happy to see where we are as we approach the most important period of our season."
With a 415.65 score, Casey was 22.85 points better than any other competitor in the 3-meter with teammate Noah Vigran (382.60) finishing third – Vigran's score in the 3-meter was a personal best.
Casey added a second-place finish on the 1-meter springboard (705.60) with Vigran (604.25) not far behind in fourth place. Vigran (607.70) also finished fifth on the platform, giving him three top-five finishes for the weekend.
Stanford returns to action this week when it travels to face Arizona on Friday in Tucson, Arizona, and Arizona State on Saturday in Tempe, Arizona.
