STANFORD, Calif. – Middle blocker Stephen Moye hit .889 and registered six blocks, helping the Cardinal cruise to a 25-11, 25-19, 25-15 win over Grand Canyon, Thursday, at Maples Pavilion.
Moye finished with eight kills on nine errorless swings and matched his career-high with five digs in the sweep.
Stanford (10-5) improved to 3-2 in the MPSF, while Grand Canyon (7-9) dropped to 0-4.
The Cardinal hit .378 as a team and finished with 35 digs, 6.0 blocks and four aces. Stanford held the Lopes to a .035 attack percentage – the second lowest by an opponent this season.

Senior outside hitter Jordan Ewert had a match-high 12 kills on .375 hitting, seven digs and three blocks. Sophomore opposite Jaylen Jasper also had 12 kills, but was held to a .167 hitting percentage.
Junior setter Paul Bischoff racked up 38 assists, four kills and seven digs in the sweep. Redshirt senior Kyle Dagostino collected five digs and five assists for the Cardinal.

Stanford limited Grand Canyon to just five kills in the opening set as the Lopes finished with a -.069 attack percentage. The Cardinal upped its hitting percentage in each of the three sets and sided out at a rate of 80 percent for the match.
Sophomore middle blocker Kyler Presho tallied seven kills on 11 swings with just one error to hit .545, while sophomore outside hitter Leo Henken totaled three kills, seven digs and two aces, including one on match-point to seal the win.

Grand Canyon was led by senior outside hitter Will Schwob, who had six kills, while freshman outside Christian Janke chipped in with five kills and five digs.
Stanford closes out a four-match homestand on Saturday with a nonconference date with UC San Diego. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Maples Pavilion.
