STANFORD, Calif. - Senior human biology major Ella Eastin was recognized as the Pac-12 Women's Swimming and Diving Scholar Athlete of the Year by the conference office on Thursday. 

Eastin is a two-time Pac-12 Women's Swimmer of the Year and has led Stanford to back-to-back Pac-12 and NCAA Championships. A 2018-19 team captain, she is a 14-time All-American and has won eight Pac-12 titles and 10 national championships.

At the 2018 NCAA Championships, she earned Swimmer of the Meet honors with three individual national titles, the most in the nation. The conference's Newcomer of the Year in 2016, Eastin currently holds four American, NCAA and school records (200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM, 800 free relay). 

In the classroom, she holds a 3.74 GPA as a human biology major at Stanford. She was named CoSIDA First-Team All-America in 2018, earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors in 2017 and 2018, and has garnered CSCAA Scholar All-America accolades in each of her first three seasons.

Eastin and the Cardinal are at the Pac-12 Championships in Federal Way, Washington. The four-day meet began Wednesday night and continues through Saturday.
