Official NCAA Psych Sheet | Relays
STANFORD, Calif. - For the second straight year, No. 1 Stanford women's swimming and diving leads the nation with eighteen qualifiers for the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA released the official psych sheet on Wednesday, and the two-time defending national champions had 18 swimmers entered in 51 individual races for the NCAA meet in Austin, Texas, March 20-23. Virginia had the second-most invitees with 14, while Indiana had 14.
The Cardinal will send the maximum roster allowed by the NCAA. Stanford divers will have a chance to qualify at the NCAA Zone E Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona, March 11-13, and the Cardinal will declare its official NCAA roster following that meet.

The Cardinal also qualified in all five relays. Sophomore Lauren Pitzer owns the top seed in the 500-yard freestyle (4:34.30), while junior Ella Eastin owns the top time so far in the 400 individual medley (3:57.75), an event she has won three straight years.
Last season, Stanford won its second straight national title with 13 event victories, tied for most all-time, and 593 points, the most since 2005. The Cardinal had 16 different All-Americans combine for 56 All-America honors, five American records, eight individual national championships and five relay titles during the four-day NCAA championship meet inside McCorkle Aquatic Center. Stanford was just the third school to sweep all five relays at the NCAA Championships, joining Georgia in 2005 and Arizona in 2008.
The Cardinal has won 10 NCAA titles and 11 overall, both most in the nation. Stanford is searching for back-to-back-to-back national championships for the first time since winning five in a row from 1992-96.
