STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford earned the No. 12 overall seed in the 2019 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships and will face Fresno State at Taube Family Tennis Stadium in the tournament's first round this Friday, May 3, at 2 p.m.
 
Texas Tech and UC Santa Barbara will also travel to The Farm for an NCAA Championships first-round contest this Friday at 11 a.m., with the winner of the two matches facing off in a second-round match on Saturday 3 p.m. PT.

Taube Family Tennis Stadium will play host to NCAA first and second round competition May 3-4, also serving as a host site on the women's side. All seats are general admission. Single-day tickets are $8 (adult) and $5 (student/youth/senior). Fans can purchase tickets in advance on GoStanford.com. The box office will open 30 minutes before the first event on each day.
 
Stanford and Fresno State, the Mountain West Conference champions, have met 19 times previously. The Cardinal owns an 18-1 all-time record against the Bulldogs. The two teams have met twice previously in the NCAA Championships, with Stanford earning a 4-0 victory in the second round in 2003 and posting a 4-2 victory over the Bulldogs in the first round in 1994.
 
The Cardinal owns a 12-0 all-time record against UC Santa Barbara and a 2-0 all-time mark against Texas Tech.
  
Stanford received its 12th consecutive and 40th all-time NCAA Championships bid. Under the direction of fifth-year head coach Paul Goldstein, the Cardinal enters NCAA play 17-6 overall.
 
The Cardinal has been ranked in the top-15 in the ITA poll all season and enters the NCAA Championships No. 14 in the latest rankings. Stanford reached the semifinals of the Pac-12 Championships this past weekend, dropping a 4-2 decision to No. 8 USC. Five of Stanford's six defeats have been to teams in the top-13 of the latest ITA poll.
  
Stanford owns a 109-24 all-time record in the NCAA Championships, winning 17 national titles overall. The Cardinal, which most recently captured the NCAA Championship in 2000, reached the second round of the tournament last season where it fell to Ole Miss, 4-3.
 
All first and second round matches are played at campus sites. New in 2019 is the NCAA Super Regional, which will also be played on campus sites. The final eight teams square off at the NCAA Championships at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, May 16-25. The national championship matches are set for May 19.
