Vigran, Jeffrey Honored

STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman diver Noah Vigran picked up Pac-12 Diver of the Year and Freshman Diver of the Year honors and Patrick Jeffrey was named Pac-12 Diving Coach of the Year, as announced Thursday.

Vigran, who hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, capped a tremendous first season on The Farm with All-America honors in the 3-meter springboard and the platform at the NCAA Championships last week. Vigran finished sixth on the 3-meter and 16th on the platform after impressing at both the Pac-12 and NCAA Zone E Diving Championships.

"I couldn't be more proud of Noah," said Jeffrey. "He gave us everything he had every day of practice and brought it all together consistently in big moments throughout the postseason. This honor couldn't be bestowed on a nicer nor more dedicated young man."

It is Jeffrey's second men's Pac-12 Diving Coach of the Year honor after earning the award in 2015. This season, Jeffrey also coached freshman Conor Casey to a win on the 3-meter springboard and a trip to the NCAA championships.

Vigran finished runner-up in all three diving events at Pac-12's, winning the Platform at the NCAA Zone E Championships and adding a second-place finish on the 3-meter and a fifth-place finish on the 1-meter.
