Ace of a Day

NAPA, Calif. – Freshman Aline Krauter recorded a hole-in-one and No. 3 Stanford climbed into second place after two rounds of the Silverado Showdown at Silverado Resort and Spa.
 
Krauter aced the 143-yard par-3 15th hole on the North Course, her first in competition.
 
Junior Ziyi Wang provided Stanford's best score of the day with a 2-under-par-70. She made three birdies and one bogey and toured her last 12 holes in 2-under.
 
Sophomore Kelsey Zeng followed up Sunday's 73 with an even-par 72 and is tied for sixth with Wang at 1-over for the tournament.
 
Sophomore Mika Liu (76) is tied for 32nd at 7-over 151, followed by freshman Calista Reyes (81) at 152 and Krauter (75) at 154.
 
Northwestern is the 36-hole leader at even-par 576. Stanford (587) is second, trailed by USC (588) and San Jose State (589).
 
Brooke Riley of Northwestern is the individual pacesetter at 4-under 140.

The final round is Tuesday and features an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The Cardinal is paired with Northwestern and USC. Live scoring can be found at GoStanford.com.
 
Stanford junior All-Americans Andrea Lee and Albane Valenzuela are not competing in the event after playing in the Augusta National Women's Amateur and ANA Inspiration, respectively.
