Lee Named Academic All-District

CoSIDA Academic All-District Opens in a new window

STANFORD, Calif. - Senior Carolyn Lee was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Team, selected by CoSIDA, marking the second consecutive season that the native of San Ramon, Calif. has been lauded.

Stanford has now earned at least one Academic All-District selection in each of the last three years, and has claimed eight honors since 2015.

A mechanical engineering major, Lee was named Pac-12 third-team All-Conference earlier this week. One of six Pac-12 players to be named Academic All-District, Lee ranks 12th in the Pac-12 in ERA, sporting a 3.37 mark to accompany an 11-7 record through 28 appearances and 26 starts. She ranks 10th in the conference in strikeouts (101), while her 11 wins place 11th overall. The team leader in innings pitched at 139, Lee has logged four-plus innings in 20 of her 26 starts this season.

Having been named to the All-District First Team, Lee will now be eligible to be named an Academic All-American. CoSIDA will announce its Academic All-American team in June.

Stanford will finish the regular season this week, opening a three-game Pac-12 series with No. 2 Washington on Thursday at 7 p.m. Following the three-game set, the Card will await the announcement of the NCAA Women's College World Series field on Sunday at 6 p.m.
