STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Charlie Ekstrom was named to a pair of All-Pac-12 teams on Thursday, as announced by the conference.
Ekstrom earned a spot on the 10-member second team, in addition to being tabbed one of five rookies on the Pac-12's All-Freshman team.
In the conference's brief three-year history, Ekstrom joins Kathryn Plummer (2017) as the only Cardinal players named to both teams in the same season.
A native of San Diego, California, Ekstrom led a young Stanford squad that gained valuable experience in 2019. Ekstrom finished with 11 individual victories in her debut season, teaming with fellow newcomer Tori Ashkinos to post a 10-9 record while playing all but four of their matches at the No. 1 spot.
