The Bruins scored two runs in the first, and tacked on single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, to back a strong combined effort from Megan Faraimo and Holly Azevedo in the circle.
Faraimo tossed the first four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and two walks with four strikeouts to improve to 15-3 on the season. Azevedo allowed a leadoff triple to Hannah Howell in the sixth, but worked out of the jam to eventually toss the final three scoreless innings and convert her first save.

Rachel Garcia got the scoring started for UCLA in the first inning, lacing an RBI-single into left field to highlight the two-run frame. Colleen Sullivan and Aaliyah Jordan plated the runs in the fourth and fifth, respectively, with each connecting for a solo-homer. The round-tripper was Sullivan's fifth, while Jordan now has nine for the season.
Senior Carolyn Lee went the distance in the loss for Stanford, allowing four runs (three earned) on 10 hits and a walk. The complete game was Lee's seventh of the season, while her record drops to 11-7 with the setback.
The Cardinal collected three hits, including two from Howell, in the loss.
Stanford will return to action on May 9 when it opens a three-game Pac-12 series at Washington.
