AUSTIN, Texas – Stanford brings 14 athletes, including three NCAA champions, to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from Wednesday through Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium at University of Texas.

Each Stanford team takes aim at a top-10 finish. If the men's and women's teams accomplish that, it would be the second consecutive year of twin top-10s. Stanford hasn't done that in back-to-back years since 2001-03.

Among the 10 women and four men competing, seven are returning to the NCAA Outdoor meet and seven are newcomers.

Returning in women's events are senior Mackenzie Little and junior Jenna Gray in the javelin, junior Kaitlyn Merritt in the pole vault, and junior Fiona O'Keeffe in the 5,000 meters. Little placed first and Gray second last year in Eugene, Oregon.

First-timers are junior Ella Donaghu and sophomore Jessica Lawson in the 1,500, fifth-year senior Abbie McNulty in the 10,000, sophomore Virginia Miller in the javelin, fifth-year senior Rachel Reichenbach in the high jump, and junior Jaimi Salone in the discus.

Returning men are fifth-year senior Steven Fahy in the 3,000 steeplechase, senior Grant Fisher in the 5,000, and fifth-year senior Harrison Williams in the decathlon. Fisher was the 2017 NCAA outdoor 5,000 champ and third last year, Williams was the 2019 NCAA indoor heptathlon winner, and two-time Pac-12 champ Fahy was third at NCAA's last year.

Sophomore Thomas Ratcliffe runs the 5,000. He is the only Stanford men's newcomer.
