Victoria Invitational Pairings Announced

STANFORD, Calif. – Pairings for the 2019 Greater Victoria Invitational presented by the City of Langford were announced on Thursday afternoon and Stanford will open the tournament with Cal Baptist at 7:30 p.m. PT on Thursday, November 28 at the University of Victoria's CARSA Performance Gym.
 
The eight-team tournament will feature four games daily over the three days, with a winners' and losers' bracket. This year's event moved to Victoria after debuting last season in Vancouver as the first NCAA Division I, regular-season tournament ever played in Canada.
 
The Cardinal and Lancers are in the bottom half of the bracket with Syracuse and Houston. The winners from Thursday play in one semifinal on Friday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m. PT while the losers meet earlier that afternoon at 1:30 p.m. PT.
 
Green Bay, Bowling Green, Mississippi State and San Francisco occupy the other side of the bracket. The Phoenix and Falcons face off on Thursday, November 28 at 11 a.m. PT ahead of the Bulldogs and Dons at 1:30 p.m. PT. Those winners will play the other semifinal on Friday, November 29 at 5 p.m. PT with the losers moving to the consolation side of the bracket for a game at 11:30 a.m. PT that same day.
 
Tickets for the Greater Victoria Invitational presented by the City of Langford go on sale to the public on Friday, September 20. Tickets are priced on a per session basis at $20 CAD for endzone, $35 CAD for sideline and $125 CAD courtside (approximately $15, $27 and $95 USD respectively). Tickets can be purchased at www.victoriainvitational.com or vikestickets.universitytickets.com.
 
Stanford checks in at No. 4 in ESPN's early women's college basketball rankings and will host Ohio State and Tennessee in addition to Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA as part of its impressive home schedule next year. Season ticket membership deposits and group deposits are currently being accepted for 2019-20.
 
For those interested in season ticket memberships, a $50 per-seat deposit (non-refundable) will ensure that you are able to choose from the best seats available. Deposits will be applied to the final ticket purchase total.
