Coming Back Strong

DAVIS, Calif. – No. 1 Stanford (6-1, 1-1 MPSF) rebounded from Friday night's loss to No. 2 UCSB to defeat No. 7 UC Davis (4-2) on Saturday afternoon, 16-8, at the Schaal Aquatics Center, as part of the seven-team Aggie Roundup.

The Cardinal jumped out to a 9-4 halftime advantage and led 13-5 after three quarters.

Ben Hallock scored a game-high six goals and Bennett Williams added five for Stanford. Hallock also drew three exclusions.

Dylan Woodhead had a nice all-around game, scoring one goal, dishing three assists, had two steals and drew two exclusions.

Goalkeeper Andrew Chun made 10 saves.

Stanford returns to action on Friday in the MPSF Invitational in Los Angeles. The Cardinal takes on Air Force at 1 p.m.
