NORTH PLAINS, Oregon – Stanford shot a 3-under 281 on Monday at Pumpkin Ridge – Witch Hollow to move into 10th heading into Tuesday's final round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite. The Cardinal were paced by senior David Snyder's 4-under 67, while sophomore Ethan Ng shot a 2-under 69.
T5. Senior David Snyder (-7, 68-67)
Snyder continued to lead the charge firing off a 4-under 67 … began the day on the back nine and was 1-over through four holes before a birdie on the par-3 15th and an eagle on the par-5 18th to make the turn at a 2-under 33 … began the front nine with bogey-birdie-bogey-birdie, before making birdie on two of the final five holes to close the day at 4-under … sits in a tie for fifth, just three strokes off the lead, heading into the final round on Tuesday.
T35. Sophomore Ethan Ng (+1, 74-69)
Played the back nine at even-par, making two birdies around a double … continued his strong play with three birdies to just one bogey on the front nine and moved up to a tie for 35th, improving by five strokes from round one.
T49. Senior Henry Shimp (+4, 74-72)
Shimp began the back nine on fire, making birdie on three of the first four holes … would bogey three of the final five holes to make the turn at even par … made bogeys on three of the first four holes, around a birdie, before finishing with four pars and a birdie to end the round at just 1-over for the day and 4-over for the tournament.
T55. Sophomore Daulet Tuleubayev (+5, 74-73)
Finished 2-over on the day, improving by a stroke over Sunday's round … made two birdies against three bogeys on the back nine, while making two bogeys and a birdie on the front nine.
T71. Freshman Barclay Brown (+10, 71-81)
Made three birdies to highlight his round.
Snyder will look to chase down Oklahoma's Logan McAllister on Tuesday during the final round, who leads at 10-under par. The Cardinal begin their day at 8:40 a.m. PT off the 10th tee.
