ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Picking up where it left off last season, the No. 2 Stanford men's water polo team dunked No. 12 Princeton on Sunday, 22-8, to complete a four-game sweep at the season-starting Navy Open.
 
The Cardinal wasn't challenged and outscored its opponents, 90-14.
 
Playing two early games on Sunday, Stanford disposed of Johns Hopkins, 22-2. Sophomore Jackson Seybold and redshirt sophomore Parker Killion paced the Cardinal attack with four goals.
 
In the tighter second game against Princeton, Stanford led 6-2 after the first quarter and 10-4 at halftime. The Cardinal increased its lead to 14-8 entering the final period and allowed just two goals in the final stanza.
 
Redshirt junior All-American Ben Hallock sparked Stanford with four goals.
 
Senior goalkeeper Andrew Chun went the distance and recorded eight saves.
 
The Cardinal returns to action on Thursday, entertaining Pro Recco in a 6 p.m. exhibition at Avery. Stanford will host San Jose State on Friday at 6 p.m., then stages the Stanford Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. In the latter, the Cardinal will play Pro Recco on Saturday at 5 p.m., then Pro Recco (11:30 a.m.) and the Olympic Club (4:30 p.m.) on Sunday.
