PORTLAND, Oregon – Paced by three golfers in the top six, including the top two, Stanford leads The Molly Intercollegiate following Monday's 36-hole day. Andrea Lee leads the tournament at 4-under while freshman Angelina Ye is second at 2-under.
1. Andrea Lee (-4, 71-69)
Looking to break Mhairi McKay's school record with her ninth career win … was 1-under in the first round of the day with four birdies to just three bogeys … played a near-flawless second round with three birdies and 15 pars, including birdies on 16 and 17 to increase her lead to two strokes over teammate Angelina Ye heading into the final round on Tuesday.
2. Angelina Ye (-2, 69-73)
Ye came out on fire in her first collegiate round, making eagle on her third hole and birdie on her fourth hole … she finished the round with an eagle, two birdies and a bogey for a 69, and led after 18 … made three birdies against four bogeys on the second 18 of the day and currently sits in second at 2-under.
T6. Albane Valenzuela (+3, 70-77)
Valenzuela came out with a strong first round, making five birdies against three bogeys in Monday's first 18 … after a bogey to start the round, made birdies on two of the next three holes … struggled a bit during the second round with five bogeys and 13 pars to sit in a tie for sixth heading into Tuesday's round.
T16. Aline Krauter (+7, 81-70)
Had an inconsistent first round with seven holes of bogey or worse against just two birdies … improved by 11 strokes in the second round, firing a 2-under 70 with five birdies, including birdies on three of the first four holes of the round.
T32. Calista Reyes (+10, 75-79)*
Playing as an individual, Reyes was 3-over in the first round with three birdies in the round … she was 7-over on the second 18 of the day to finish in a tie for 32nd heading into the final round on Tuesday.
T50. Brooke Seay (+15, 83-76)
Shot an 83 in the first round of her collegiate career, but rebounded nicely with a 76 in the second round … will look to finish her first career tournament strong on Tuesday when she leads the Cardinal off at 9 a.m.
Stanford leads the tournament by seven strokes over Oregon heading into the final round on Tuesday at Waverley Country Club.
