LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 1 Stanford (13-1) extended its winning streak to eight consecutive games on Saturday afternoon by beating No. 8 Long Beach State (10-8), 11-5, at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.
Senior Bennett Williams and a strong defensive effort in the second sparked the victory. He scored a game-high four goals – one off his season high – and the Cardinal limited the 49ers to one tally in the second half.
