STANFORD, California – True freshman Angelina Ye shot a 5-under 66 on Sunday to win the 2019 Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Dr. Condoleezza Rice. It was Ye's first career victory, after earning a runner-up finish in her first career event, The Molly Intercollegiate. As a team, the Cardinal finished second at 5-under for the weekend, despite missing seniors Andrea Lee and Albane Valenzuela, who are at Stage II of LPGA Qualifying.

"I'm thrilled for Angelina (Ye), this is really cool," said Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Anne Walker. "We always talk about the importance of senior leadership and we knew that was going to be a big factor, but I felt like Emily (Ziyi Wang) really stepped up as that person. To watch Angelina and Aline (Krauter) be this comfortable, I think Mika (Liu) deserves a shoutout, too, for her 16th-place finish. To watch those three do that – I just believe in the youth of this team. I think it's great. Hopefully Andrea and Albane play great this week and can come back and make us more complete in the spring."
