LOS ANGELES - No. 2 Stanford came away with a split of its SoCal road trip, outlasting USC 23-25, 26-28, 25-19, 25-14, 15-11 on Sunday afternoon at the Galen Center.

Two days after being swept for the first time since 2015, Stanford (14-4, 8-2 Pac-12) gained sole possession of the Pac-12 lead at the midway point of conference play.

The Cardinal, which has now won seven in a row against USC (12-8, 6-4 Pac-12), received a career-high 23 kills from Kendall Kipp while Audriana Fitzmorris chipped in with 14 and Madeline Gates contributed 13.

Morgan Hentz matched her season-best total of 27 digs, moving into second place all-time in school history with 2,037 career digs while passing Kyle Gilbert (2011-14).

Stanford hit .292 overall, compared to USC's .149 clip. The Cardinal also held an edge in blocks (12.0-10.0).

The Cardinal returns home to host Oregon State (Friday, Nov. 1 – 6 p.m.) and Oregon (Sunday, Nov. 3 – 2 p.m.).
