SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Playing the first of three games this week, top-ranked Stanford defeated Santa Clara on Wednesday afternoon at the Sullivan Aquatic Center, 11-4. It marked the seventh consecutive victory for the Cardinal, now 12-1 on the season.
Six Stanford players scored, led by senior driver Dylan Woodhead, who matched his season-high with four goals. He also netted four against Navy and Iona.

Stanford never trailed and received a pair of early goals from redshirt junior Ben Hallock. The Broncos (8-5) kept it close for a half and trailed 5-2. But freshmen Andrew Churukian tallied a career-best two goals and Larsen Weigle added another to help give Stanford a 9-4 advantage after three quarters.
Churkian and Weigle were teammates at nearby Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, Calif.

The Cardinal out-shot Santa Clara, 33-20.
Senior goalkeeper Andrew Chun made 10 saves for Stanford.
