STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford stockpiled more talent with the signings of eight prep standouts to National Letters of Intent, Knowles Family Director of Men's Soccer Jeremy Gunn announced Monday.
Joining the Cardinal for the 2019 season are Carlo Agostinelli (London, England/Harrow School), Ousseni Bouda (Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso/Millbrook School [N.Y.]), Cam Cilley (Alamo, Calif./San Jose Earthquakes Academy), Mark Fisher (Grand Blanc, Mich./Michigan Wolves Soccer Club), Keegan Hughes (Heath, Ohio/Columbus Crew SC Academy), Alex Rando (New York, N.Y./NYCFC Academy), Gabe Segal (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda Soccer Club) and Keegan Tingey (Danville, Calif./San Jose Earthquakes Academy).
The group joins a program that has won three of the last four NCAA titles, five consecutive Pac-12 championships and posted a 77-14-18 (.789) overall record since 2014.
"We are extremely excited to announce our 2019 recruiting class," Gunn said. "I am always reluctant to say too much about student-athletes who have yet to arrive on campus, because past successes do not dictate immediate rewards at the next level, but there is no doubt that our staff has attracted a phenomenal group to The Farm. We have signed some of the brightest strikers in the country who will hopefully continue the rich tradition of top-level goal scorers in our program. We added strength and depth across the midfield and solidified the backbone of the team by bringing in a center back, fullback and goalkeeper. Competition for places will be fierce when combining the quality and balance of this incoming group with a strong returning squad."
