Gainesville, Fla. – Stanford claimed first in the solo and duet competitions when it traveled to Gainesville, Fla. last weekend to face University of Florida, Incarnate Word, and Lindenwood University.
Jacklyn Luu was the high scorer in the solo competition, earning 79.2750 points. Hailee Heinrich and Grace Alwan finished first in the duet with 78.8000 points.
Stanford placed an extremely close second in the team competition, narrowly missing first place by just 0.025 points.
In the end, the Cardinal finished second overall with a total of 81.0 points. It was a close finish, with Incarnate Word edging Stanford by just 3.0 points to claim first place. University of Florida (49.0) and Lindenwood University (11.0) placed third and fourth, respectively.
Stanford is back in action February 22-23 when it hosts Incarnate Word for a two-day meet. On Sunday, Stanford will recognize its three seniors, Natalie Fletcher, Karen Li and Lily Randhawa, in their final home meet at Avery Aquatic Center.
