PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – Behind a Top-10 finish from senior Ziyi Wang, Stanford Women's Golf moved up one spot on Tuesday to take home a seventh-place finish at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. Facing one of the best fields in collegiate women's golf, the Cardinal defeated teams such as No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 7 Arizona and No. 9 Florida. In total, the Cardinal edged out five teams ranked inside the Top 20 this week at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

"To finish seventh in the toughest field of the year is a huge boost of confidence for the players on this team," Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Anne Walker said on Tuesday. "The last two days were especially strong and showed that we have the players to continue to compete on the national stage. We will keep working hard and I am sure we will see some more great finishes ahead."

Wang shot a 2-under 69 on Tuesday to finish tied for seventh, her seventh career Top-10 finish. Sophomore Aline Krauter also shot a 2-under 69 on Tuesday to move up to a tie for 16th. Freshman Angelina Ye finished 20th, her fourth consecutive Top-20 finish to begin her career.

Started on No. 9 and made four birdies on the back nine, going out with a 3-under 33 … was 1-over on the front nine, matching one of her best career finishes.

T16. Aline Krauter (+1, 75-71-69=214)
Fired a 2-under 69 on the day with three birdies on the back nine … made 12 pars in the last 13 holes.

20. Angelina Ye (+3, 73-70-73=216)
Was 2-over on the day, but capped off another strong event with a fourth-straight Top-20 finish to begin her collegiate career.

T67. Brooke Seay (+16, 79-75-75=229)
Had two birdies on the back nine to highlight her round, matching her 75 from Monday.

N/A. Calista Reyes (N/A, DQ-74-75=N/A)
Tallied three birdies in the round to finish with a 75 on Tuesday.

The Cardinal will be back on the course beginning Sunday at the Guadalajara International Invitational in Mexico.
