Tripped Up at Indoors

MADISON, Wis. – Competing for the second-straight day at the ITA Indoor Championships on the campus of Wisconsin, No. 8 Stanford men's tennis fell to No. 1 USC, 4-0. The meeting was the second between the Pac-12 foes already this spring, with at least one more matchup set this season.

The Trojans (8-1) got out to an early lead in doubles, taking courts one and three by 6-3 and 6-4 decisions, respectively.

Alexandre Rotsaert took an early lead for Stanford (7-2) on court two in singles play, facing No. 33 Riley Smith. He led 6-4, 5-5 overall before wrapping play unfinished. Timothy Sah also took a set from No. 65 Stefan Dostanic, and similarly ended unfinished. The Trojans picked up wins on courts one, three and five in straight sets to advance in the tournament.

Stanford wraps up the action at the ITA Indoor Championships against No. 4 Texas, who fell to No. 13 Michigan, 4-2, at 10 a.m. PT.
