LA QUINTA, Calif. – Stanford Men's Golf started play at The Prestige by Charles Schwab on Monday on the Greg Norman Course at PGA West. The Cardinal is tied for 10th after the first day of action, highlighted by sophomore Daulet Tuleubayev's 2-under 69 to sit tied for ninth overall.
 
Over at Coral Mountain Golf Club, three Cardinal are playing in The Prestige Individual Tournament. Ashwin Arasu and Barclay Brown shot career-best 69s (3-under) on Monday and sit tied for third after the first round.

T9. Daulet Tuleubayev (-2, 69)
Started the round with 11 straight pars before birdies at No. 12 and 17 … over his last four rounds, three have been under par … two of his last three rounds have been in the 60s.
 
T23. Henry Shimp (E, 71)
The senior produced four birdies in Monday's first round to shoot an even-par 71.

A 3-under 69 with four birdies … matched his best career round but score, but was his best career round to par.

Played in his first career collegiate event, Leede's first round featured three birdies.
