GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Behind her first career round in the 60s, Calista Reyes' 3-under 69 has Stanford Women's Golf in second place after the first day of the IJGA Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club. As a team, Stanford was 2-under for the day, just one stroke off the leaders, Baylor.
 
True freshmen Brooke Seay (-2, T5) and Angelina Ye (T11, -1) also led the way for the Cardinal on the first day of competition.
 
2. Stanford (-2, 286)
4. Calista Reyes (-3, 69)
Playing out of the fourth position, her five birdies led to a 69, her first career round in the 60s at Stanford.
 
T5. Brooke Seay (-2, 70)
Behind her first career round under par as a Cardinal, Seay had four birdies and sits in the Top 5.
 
T11. Angelina Ye (-1, 71)
Had three birdies and 13 pars in the first 16 holes, but a double bogey on No. 17 dropped her two strokes … still sits tied for 11th following the 1-under 71.
 
T48. Aline Krauter (+4, 76)
Began the day with a birdie at No. 1 and also birdied No. 17 as she shot a 4-over 76.
 
T61. Ziyi Wang (+6, 78)
Started with a 6-over 78 for the Cardinal, but will look to rebound as she is fresh off her T7th finish at last week's Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
 
Individual:
T65. Mika Liu (+7, 79)
Playing as an individual and started on No. 10, but finished strong with birdies on No. 7 and 8, which were her 16th and 17th holes of the day.
 
The golfers will play 27 holes on Monday, starting at 7:30 a.m. PT. The start of the third round will feature the same pairings as the second round. Then, on Tuesday, the teams will play the final nine holes, also starting at 7:30 a.m. PT.
