Another Top 10

Results

GUADALAJARA, Mexico – After opening with a first-round 76, Stanford's Aline Krauter was tied for 48th at the IJGA Collegiate Invitational. The sophomore closed the tournament with a second-round 68 and a third-round 69 to finish tied for eighth, moving up 40 spots over the final two days of competition at Guadalajara Country Club.

The Top-10 finish was Krauter's second of the season and fourth of her career. She has now finished in the Top 16 in all five events of her sophomore campaign and has nine career Top 16 finishes.

"Through two rounds we had a chance to win this event but unfortunately, we didn't have our best stuff over the last 18 holes and came up short of what we would have liked," Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Anne Walker said. "Overall though, the general team culture, attitude and character has been beyond terrific. This group has great camaraderie and we will see that fuel us as we move forward. Aline played another fantastic event and notched another Top-10 finish. She has been quite impressive early this year and I think there is more to come."

The 14 teams played the final nine holes of the third round on Tuesday morning. The Cardinal moved up to a tie for fifth, finishing with a 7-over 871 for the tournament.
