Wrapping Up on the Road

  • Stanford remained steady at No. 8 in the national rankings following the ITA Indoor Championships, where the Cardinal picked up a win over No. 10 NC State, but fell to No. 1 USC and No. 4 Texas.
  • The Cardinal's trip to Texas started with a defeat to the fourth-ranked Longhorns, 4-0. Axel Geller and Neel Rajesh picked up a win at No. 1 doubles to lead the effort.
  • Three Stanford players are ranked in singles play: Alexandre Rotsaert (5), Axel Geller (29) and Sangeet Sridhar (75). Rotsaert is Stanford's first top-five ranked singles player since Feb. 23, 2016, when Tom Fawcett was ranked fourth nationally.
  • The Cardinal is 7-4 on the season with three matches to go before the start of Pac-12 action.
  • Stanford trails TCU, which is ranked No. 12 nationally, 4-5 in the all-time series. The Card's last win came in 2003, 5-2, while TCU won the last meeting in 2017, 4-3.
  • With the opening round triumph over NC State at the ITA Indoor Championships, Paul Goldstein, the Taube Family Director of Men's Tennis, became the fourth head coach in program history to reach 100 career wins.
