Men's Tennis Hosts a Pair

  • Stanford jumped three spots to No. 8 in the national rankings, and is the second-highest ranked team in the Pac-12. The Cardinal continues non-league action this weekend with Grand Canyon Friday and Pacific on Saturday.
  • Four Stanford players are ranked in singles play: Axel Geller (16), Alexandre Rotsaert (21), Sangeet Sridhar (57) and Neel Rajesh (98).
  • At home for the second-straight weekend, the Cardinal split with USC and UCLA a week ago in the Dick Gould Stanford/So-Cal challenge. Stanford picked up four singles wins against UCLA in a 4-2 overall decision.
  • The Cardinal is 4-1 to start the dual slate, with wins over UC Davis, Tulane, California and UCLA.
  • This is the first meeting on the tennis courts between Stanford and Grand Canyon.
  • Stanford is unbeaten in program history against Pacific, 9-0. The teams last met in 2018 (4-0 Stanford).
  • Paul Goldstein, the Taube Family Director of Men's Tennis, stands just three victories away from becoming the fourth head coach in program history to reach 100 career wins.
