More High School Honors

STANFORD, Calif. - Honors continue to roll in for the incoming class of Stanford Women's Basketball, as Cameron Brink and Jana Van Gytenbeek were named high school All-Americans by both Naismith and the WBCA, while Van Gytenbeek was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Colorado.

Brink, rated the nation's No. 3 player in the Class of 2020 by espnW HoopGurlz, was named a first-team All-American on the Jersey Mike's Naismith National All-American list and was one of 10 to be named to the WBCA High School Coaches' All-American team.

Transferring to Mountainside after earning two Oregon state titles and another championship appearances with Southridge, Brink has averaged over 20 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks per game as a senior, helping lead her team to its first ever appearance in the state tournament.

Van Gytenbeek, No. 38 on espnW's HoopGurlz Top-100, was selected as the top player in Colorado and earned honorable mention status on both the Naismith and WBCA All-American lists.

A point guard for defending state champion Cherry Creek in Greenwood Village, Colo., Van Gytenbeek has led the charge for her team as as senior, averaging over 17 points, nearly eight assists, almost four rebounds and over three steals per game. Already a two-time first-team All-State selection, Van Gytenbeek set the state record of career assists earlier this season.

Brink and Van Gytenbeek will be joined by fellow incoming rookie Agnes Emma-Nnopu from Australia in next year's freshman class. Stanford's class is currently ranked sixth in the nation.
