STANFORD, Calif. – The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray announced the hiring of Cole Buck, The Enlight Foundation Assistant Coach for Men's Golf, on Monday. Buck joins Stanford after two seasons as an assistant coach at Lipscomb.
"We are excited to welcome Cole Buck to Stanford as our Assistant Coach for Men's Golf," Ray said. "Cole joins a long lineage of successful up-and comers in the national coaching ranks to join our staff in a pivotal role. Cole's interpersonal skills, experience as a former head coach, and devoted efforts to the craft of golf coaching separated him from our other highly qualified candidates. Cole will be a great addition to our staff."

It was great getting to know him during the interview process and hear what has made the program so successful during his tenure. I can't imagine a better person to work alongside and I'm eager to get started and help continue the incredible legacy of Stanford Golf."
Buck joined Lipscomb after two seasons as the head coach at Wagner, a program in the Northeast Conference (NEC) located in Staten Island, New York. At Wagner, Buck graduated with a master's degree in higher education leadership organization. He received his bachelor's degree in 2017 from Texas Christian University.
Buck played two seasons of golf at TCU. Following his playing career, he served as head men's and women's junior varsity golf coach and varsity assistant coach at Trinity Valley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He also spent time at TCU as a coaching intern with the strength and conditioning department.
Buck spent his final three years of high school at the prestigious Jim McLean Golf Academy in Arlington, Texas, where he also has experience working in internal operations. Buck has also worked with the AJGA, served as Kids Across America Director of Golf at Payne Stewart Memorial Center, and also served as a Mackenzie Tour caddy in 2018.
