Get to Know Elena Oglivie

What's your favorite way to spend a day off?Hanging out with teammates and watching movies.

What surprised you the most about being a student-athlete at Stanford?I was most surprised about the amount of support there is for all athletes. Whether it's on the court, in the weight room, laundry room, or our academics advisors.

Do you have any pet peeves?Fruits that are soggy that aren't supposed to be soggy.

If you weren't playing volleyball at Stanford, what sport would you want to play?Basketball, because I played when I was in fifth grade and liked it.

Do you have any prematch rituals? If so, what are they?Listen to music, maybe dance a little.

Outside of volleyball, what's something you're passionate about and why?Photography because I love taking pictures of people, the sky, and scenic views.

Why did you choose to attend Stanford?

The prestigious academics and competitive athletics really attracted me to Stanford. I wanted to be a part of a school and program with family values and diversity.
