STANFORD, Calif. - Junior Kyla Bryant was awarded Second Team All-America honors on floor, as announced Tuesday by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
Bryant becomes the 34th All-American selection in school history and first since Elizabeth Price in 2018.
Student-athletes with the top-8 National Qualifying Scores (NQS) for the regular season (with ties) on each event and in the all-around earned first team All-America honors. Gymnasts that ranked No. 9-16 (with ties) in the NQS earned second team All-America honors. The NQS scores are based on meets that occurred before the season was ended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A native of Lake Oconee, Georgia, Bryant concluded her season ranked 11th on floor by posting a NQS of 9.925. A 2019 All-Pac-12 Second Team honoree on floor and all-around, Bryant continued her overall development as a junior, establishing career highs across the board. Bryant's personal-best 9.975 routine on Senior Night against Arizona State on March 2 fueled Stanford to its best floor score in 16 years. Bryant finished with seven floor routines of 9.900 or better and captured four event titles.
Bryant also produced career-high totals on vault (9.900), bars (9.950), beam (9.925) and all-around (39.550).
Stanford wrapped up its season ranked No. 26 nationally, boasting an NQS of 195.990.
