Pac-12 Announces Spring Schedule

STANFORD, Calif. – The Pac-12 Conference has released the 2021 spring women's volleyball schedule. Member institutions are slated to play 22 conference matches beginning Jan. 22.

In light of the Santa Clara County Public Health Department's current emergency directive, Stanford's first four matches (at USC on Jan. 23 & 25 and home versus Colorado on Jan. 30 & Feb. 1) have been canceled.

The Stanford women's volleyball program reported back to campus on Jan. 4 to begin the onboarding process for the upcoming varsity season.

In accordance with Santa Clara County's restrictions for collegiate sports, athletics activities that involve contact, that do not allow for social distancing, or that take place indoors, remain prohibited. Additionally, individuals are required to quarantine for 10 days upon entering or returning from travel of over 150 miles from Santa Clara County's borders. As a result, the women's volleyball program initially plans to conduct modified outdoor training activities that comply with the current restrictions.

While Stanford Athletics will continue striving to create an opportunity for student-athletes to compete in their upcoming season, all decisions regarding training and competition will be based on the conditions and the guidance provided to us by public health officials and our university administration. Accordingly, all competition dates are subject to change.

As several Pac-12 sports begin their seasons, the conference recently determined it would continue its prohibition on fan attendance at Pac-12 sport competitions taking place on Pac-12 campuses until further notice.

The NCAA has modified the minimum number of contests required to be eligible for at-large selections for postseason tournaments across all sports, resulting in a minimum number of 10 matches required in the sport of women's volleyball.

Stanford, which leads the nation with nine NCAA titles, is the reigning back-to-back NCAA champion (2018, 2019). The Cardinal is under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Kevin Hambly, who is 94-9 in three seasons on The Farm.

Start times and matches selected for broadcast by Pac-12 Networks through Feb. 28 are listed below. Remaining dates, start times and broadcasts through the end of the regular season will be announced in the coming weeks. All match dates, times and broadcasts are subject to change.
