STANFORD, Calif. – The Pac-12 Conference has released the 2021 spring men's soccer schedule. Member institutions are slated to play a 10-match schedule, beginning Feb. 20.
The Stanford men's soccer program reported back to campus on Jan. 4 to begin the onboarding process for its upcoming varsity season.
While Stanford Athletics will continue striving to create an opportunity for student-athletes to compete in their upcoming season, all decisions regarding training and competition will be based on the conditions and the guidance provided to us by public health officials and our university administration. Accordingly, all competition dates are subject to change.
The Pac-12 schedule reflects a 10-match double-round robin slate between Pac-12 programs set to begin Feb. 20. Each program will be able to schedule up to five non-conference matches - including against league members - beginning Feb. 3. At this time, Stanford's non-conference plans are still being finalized.
Kickoff times and broadcast information for Stanford's schedule will be announced at a later date.
As several Pac-12 sports begin their seasons, the conference recently determined it would continue its prohibition on fan attendance at Pac-12 sport competitions taking place on Pac-12 campuses until further notice.
The NCAA has modified the minimum number of contests required to be eligible for at-large selections for postseason tournaments across all sports, resulting in a minimum number of six matches required in the sport of men's soccer.
Stanford has advanced to four of the last five NCAA College Cups, winning the national championship each year from 2015-17. The Cardinal, winners of five of the last six Pac-12 championships, The Knowles Family Director of Men's Soccer Jeremy Gunn enters his ninth season on The Farm, boasting an overall record of 110-32-28 with the Cardinal.
