- Stanford beach volleyball will begin the 2021 season, its ninth in program history, on Friday, kicking off the weekend with two matches at No. 16 Long Beach State. The Cardinal will play two matches at No. 2 UCLA on Saturday and one at No. 10 Pepperdine on Sunday to close out the weekend.
- Stanford begins the season at No. 19 in the AVCA Beach Volleyball Preseason Top 20. The Cardinal finished last season at 6-7 overall, winning six of its last eight matches, including the final three, before the COVID-19 global pandemic caused the rest of the season to be canceled.
- Head coach Andrew Fuller enters his fifth season at the helm of the program. He is joined on staff by first-year assistant Angela Rock and volunteer coach Lauren Fendrick.
