TUCSON, Ariz. – Conor Casey etched his name further into the Stanford record book, Thursday. The junior successfully defended his Pac-12 title in the 1-meter, while Noah Vigran took fourth to lead the Stanford divers on the first day of competition for the men's divers at the Pac-12 Men's and Women's Diving Championships.

Casey, who pulled off the 1-meter and 3-meter double at last year's conference championship, opened the week by becoming a two-time winner in the 1-meter. The junior averaged a 68.95 per round and won with a final score of 413.55 – 68.75 points ahead of second place.

Vigran took fourth with a score of 331.35 in the finals to just miss a podium finish. He improved upon his sixth-place finish in the preliminary rounds of the event by two spots. Both Vigran and Casey posted Zone qualifying scores.

Freshman Hunter Hollenbeck was the first non-qualifier from the preliminary rounds, taking ninth with a score of 278.05 in his first appearance at the conference championships.

The divers will return to action on Friday with the 3-meter.
