FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Mia Paulsen grabbed her third national qualifier of the week, and Stanford women's swimming and diving advanced all three divers to nationals on the platform with a strong showing, Wednesday at the NCAA Zone E Diving Meet.
Paulsen, who had already advanced to the national championships on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards this week, finished fourth on the platform with a score of 518.90.
The senior was followed by a career day from Julia Wortman, and by Daria Lenz. Wortman advances to the national championships thanks to her seventh-place finish on the platform. The sophomore posted a score of 480.05 and advances to nationals for the first time in her career.
Lenz finished eighth on the platform with a score of 474.65.
All three of Stanford's divers advance to the NCAA national championships in at least one event with this week's performances. Paulsen advanced on the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform, while Lenz also advanced on the 1-meter on Monday.
The NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will be held March 17-20, in Greensboro, N.C. The Cardinal also sends a contingent of 11 swimmers and all five relay teams.
