STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 5 TCU on Friday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
Facing its third top-25 opponent in five days, Stanford (2-3, 0-0 Pac-12) rebounded after losing the doubles point and had forced a deciding set on four courts.
Leading 3-1, TCU (11-5, 0-0 Big 12) was able to quickly reverse Stanford's momentum and secure the match when Juan Martin outlasted Sangeet Sridhar 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot.
Trailing 1-0, the Cardinal collected its only point when Arthur Fery won on court four as TCU's Tadeas Paroulek retired early in the second set.
