Sun Devils Head to Stanford

  • Stanford is off to a 4-3 start (1-0 Pac-12) on the season, with wins over Santa Clara, Saint Mary's, Utah and UC Davis. The opening win over the Broncos came after 374 days between events.
  • Arthur Fery leads the team with six singles wins, while Tristan Boyer and Timothy Sah have three each. 11 athletes have at least one victory. Four tandems have a pair of doubles wins, while individually Fery, Alexandre Rotsaert, Neel Rajesh and Sah have two each.
  • Stanford returned its entire roster from a year ago, and added the top recruiting class in the country: Tristan Boyer (Altadena, CA), Aryan Chaudhary (Santa Clara, CA), Arthur Fery (Wimbledon, UK) and Alex Lee (Oak Brook, IL).
  • Five singles players were ranked in the opening poll from the ITA: Alex Rotsaert (No. 3), Axel Geller (No. 20), Sangeet Sridhar (No. 75), Arthur Fery (No. 94) and Tristan Boyer (No. 119). Additionally, the pair of Geller and Neel Rajesh was slotted in as the 11th-ranked doubles pair to start the year. The team was ranked No. 5 as a team to start the spring season. Fery is ranked No. 95 in the most recent rankings.
  • Paul Goldstein has established himself among Stanford’s elite men’s tennis coaches in the program’s rich history. In six-plus seasons as the Cardinal mentor, Goldstein’s teams have posted a 105-46 record with a national ranking and a berth in the NCAA Championships in each of his first five seasons.
  • Stanford is 55-4 all-time against Arizona State.
