- No. 10 Stanford beach volleyball readies for another important weekend of matches, returning home to the Stanford Beach Volleyball Courts to play two matches each on Saturday and Sunday. The Cardinal is hosting the Pac-12/WCC Challenge with No. 11 Pepperdine, No. 12 Cal and Saint Mary's coming to The Farm.
- Stanford is 14-7, but coming off a tough weekend at the Pac-12 North Invitational in Phoenix where it lost to No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 USC, No. 11 Cal and No. 12 Arizona.
- The Cardinal's top two pairs will be looking to right the ship. The pairing of Charlie Ekstrom/Sunny Villapando (#1) and Xolani Hodel/Kate Reilly (#2) are both 12-8 on the year, but Stanford has lost seven of eight at #1 and six straight at #2.
- Stanford's #3 pairing of Maddi Kriz and Maya Harvey continues to thrive, posting a 16-5 record on the season, with wins in eight of the last 10. At #5, Amelia Smith and Emmy Sharp are 8-2 on the season, coming off a weekend in which they went 3-1, including giving USC's #5 pairing its first loss of the season.
- The Cardinal is set to take on Saint Mary's and No. 12 Cal on Saturday, before a meeting with No. 11 Pepperdine on Sunday. After the round-robin portion of the tournament, the teams will be seeded, with No. 1 vs. No. 2 squaring off, as well as No. 3 vs. No. 4 facing each other, on Sunday afternoon.
