  • No. 9 Stanford beach volleyball enters the most important weekend in program history, on the cusp of its first-ever NCAA Championships berth. The Cardinal will be vying for one of two at-large spots in the eight-team field come Selection Sunday (May 2).
  • Stanford (20-9) has set a new program high-mark for wins in a season, surpassing the 17 victories in 2018. The Cardinal has nine wins over ranked teams at the time of meeting: No. 5 Cal Poly, No. 6 Hawaii, No. 8 Grand Canyon (twice), No. 9 Cal, No. 11 Pepperdine, No. 12 Cal, No. 14 Arizona and No. 16 Long Beach State. All nine of Stanford's losses have come against ranked foe.
  • Earlier this season, Stanford set a program record with a 13-match winning streak and achieved its highest ranking ever in the AVCA poll at No. 7.
  • Seniors Sunny Villapando (64) and Amelia Smith (55) are ranked No. 1 and 2, respectively, in career wins. Junior Maddie Dailey's 38 career victories are tied for fifth-most in school history.
  • Smith and Emmy Sharp are 16-2 on the season, just two wins shy of matching the most by a pair in a single season in school history (18, Smith/Morgan Hentz, 2018).
  • With 19 individual wins apiece, Xolani Hodel, Maddi Kriz, Amelia Smith and Sunny Villapando are tied for third in a single season. The school record is 23, set by both Villapando and Courtney Bowen in 2018. Maddie Dailey, Maya Harvey and Emmy Sharp each have 18 wins this season. 
  • Hodel and Villapando earned Pac-12 Pair of the Week after going 4-0 at the No. 1 spot last week.
