STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's golf got off to a strong start at the NCAA Regionals on Monday, tying a school record with a 12-under 272 at Stanford Golf Course to take the 18-hole lead. The previous record was a 12-under 276 at the Silverado Showdown in 2017. The Cardinal leads second-place Virginia Tech by 10 strokes, thanks to all five individuals shooting par or better.

Freshman Sadie Englemann is tied for the lead with a 4-under 67, which marked her best collegiate round to date. Sophomore Brooke Seay fired a 3-under 68, her second career round in the 60s, and is tied for fourth with teammate Rachel Heck. Heck's 68 was her eighth straight round in the 60s. Sophomore Angelina Ye shot a 2-under 69 while junior Aline Krauter fired an even-par 71.

Stanford will tee off beginning at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday and will play with Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
