ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The field started to separate on Tuesday at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional, as nine of 14 teams shot under par in the second round at UNM Championship Course. Behind a 3-under 285, Stanford held steady in eighth place and will enter Wednesday's final round four strokes off the cut line. 

Oregon State currently leads the field at 20-under, while South Carolina and Texas A&M are tied for fourth inside the cut line at 8-under. Just ahead of the Cardinal is San Diego (-5) and host New Mexico (-4), while national No. 1 Oklahoma is right on Stanford's heels at 3-under. 

Karl Vilips, Nate Menon and Michael Thorbjornsen all had strong rounds of 2-under 70 on Tuesday to each climb the leaderboard. Vilips is now tied for 16th at 2-under, Menon tied for 24th at 1-under and Thorbjornsen is tied for 30th at even-par.

The Cardinal will play with San Diego and Oklahoma on Wednesday and go off the first tee beginning at 7:25 a.m. PT.
