SAN FRANCISCO – Stanford women's tennis landed three student-athletes with All-Pac-12 recognition, as announced by the conference on Thursday. Michaela Gordon was named to the first team, while Angelica Blake and Emma Higuchi earned honorable mention status.
Gordon went 10-7 in singles this season, playing all 17 of her matches in the top singles position, and 10-6 in doubles. She tallied five wins over Pac-12 opponents, and four over ranked foes this season. The All-Pac-12 selection is the third for Gordon, who was also a first team honoree in 2018 and 2019, as well as the Pca-12 Singles Player of the Year in 2019.
Blake posted a 7-3 mark in singles this season at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, while going 8-2 in doubles action. The Pac-12 honor is the first in Blake's career. She went 6-1 this season against Pac-12 foes, including one win over a ranked opponent.
Higuchi paced the Cardinal with 16 singles wins this season at 16-3 overall, while also posting an 8-2 mark in doubles. She opened the season with 11 straight wins, and went 9-3 against Pac-12 opponents this season. This is her third All-Pac-12 honor, as she was a second team selection in 2017 and an honorable mention pick in 2018.
Stanford went 15-5 this season, including an 8-2 record in Pac-12 play.
