A Major Opportunity

  • Fresh off a second-place team finish at the Pac-12 Championships, Stanford will play in the Olympic Club Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday. The Olympic Club will host the U.S. Women's Open the first weekend of June, so Wednesday's event provides a unique opportunity for the Cardinal as they prepare for NCAA Regionals, May 10-12.
  • Stanford will feature the same lineup as Pac-12 Championships, highlighted by individual medalist Rachel Heck. Heck will be joined by Angelina Ye, Sadie Englemann, Brooke Seay and Aline Krauter, while Rebecca Becht, Calista Reyes and Ziyi Wang will play as individuals on Wednesday.
  • The event will be played on The Olympic Club Lake Course, which will be set up as a 6,610-yard, par-71. Cal, San Francisco and UC Davis will also compete in the event.
  • Two current Cardinal are scheduled to play in the U.S. Women's Open, June 3-6. Aline Krauter has exemptions after winning the R&A Women's Amateur last fall, while freshman Rachel Heck qualified on Monday by winning the qualifier at Marin Country Club.
